Question about vise finger inserts
« on: September 19, 2009, 07:03:39 AM »
I had my inserts replaced thursday but they fit a little tight and I was wanting to go up a size so I decided to just purchase them on my own and do it because it is so much cheaper. They put a 2 for my ring finger and a size 3 for my middle. I can't find anywhere on the internet that has those numbers, they all just have the regular sizes. So I was wanting to know what size those numbers are equal to?

I am wanting to get a 3 for my ring finger, and 4 for my middle finger.

not a big deal . mental farts happen to us all . Just to let u know another thing the colors make a small difference . Darker the color the harder the grip and lighter colors i have found are softer more say gummy feeling

They also have half sizes as well.  Depending how tight your current ones are, you may consider a 3 1/2 for the middle and 2 1/2 for the ring.

Alright thanks guys

ucumin2, The person that put them in told me the clear ones were more tackier and would help me get more lift, but they didn't say anything about the other colors being different, Which ones are probably the slickest or hardest?

The color doesn't indicate softness! I sell Vise Grips in my shop and have used all of the colors and there's not a difference in any of them. I'm now using the purple nub ovals, which has the little bumps inside. I would try and use a 2.5 and 3.5 if you need to go up a little in size, plus if you look inside the grip it'll have the size inside and at the top of the grip in small numbers.
2= 5/8"  2.5= 41.64"   3= 21/32"  3.5= 43/64"  4= 11/16"

Its true that technicaly the colors are not meant 4 soft 2 hard but I've thrown all color and the pigment 4 the color makes a difference. I stay with white yellow and orange. They give me a nice feel. Red and blue are pretty hard in my eyes but just have 2 give it a try with other colors.

I called Vise about this 2 years ago and they said since the clear grips were not mixed with any colors they came out feeling softer.

u always use the clear power lifts now. i have noticed in the past that the different colors just "felt different" when i went from ball to ball.
