I'm pretty sure this has not yet been addressed in any of the forums, but if it has, I apologize.

Has everyone seen the ad for the new Lane #1 Golden Nugget in this month's BTM?  I found it rather amusing.

We are all sick of it. Of coarse there are still a few out there that will try to "stir the pot" every chance they get such as but not limited to "boat anchor"-"costs too much"-"better than the others'-"not better tnan the others"-"best core"-"not best core" and etc. etc. The list goes on and on.

Well I'll reply seriously.

I thought it was interesting that the character Clump was used to introduce the ball in the add. I'm not sure it lent much to the message about the ball or to anyone who was not aware of the Clump poster on this site.

I use Lane1 stuff and I am very surprised that they used that ad also.  Inside jokes are fine when dealing with a small community where most people know/can easily find out what is going on, but when you try and use it in a national ad....

I liked the ad. Thought it was funny. Not any more outrageous than some of the ads the other companies put out from time to time.
