interesting house ball
« on: June 04, 2010, 04:06:55 PM »
Hey, I was watching a video about two bands bowling, and some of the house balls they had were gray with a large blue glow in the dark stripe all the way around.  Would anyone happen to know who makes these balls?

Here's the video if you want to watch, it isn't the only house ball used, but it is one of them.

Around the 140 to 155 mark you see it some but can't tell much. Try looking for glowing bowling balls and house equipment for glow bowling.

At 1:20, there is a shot of the logo of the ball, but I am having a hard time read it.

Those look kind of cool. I wouldn't mind owning 1 of those for my spares.

Yea, that's what I was thinking.  I just don't know if they can be sold individually or not, but I emailed them and asked, so hopefully they'll respond soon.

Also noticed that the ad said "urethane." Wonder if that's a misprint and they're really polyester, or if it is, in fact, a urethane ball.

There are a lot of companies that make urethane houseballs. Many people never notice. I've seen them at many different centers.

House balls tend to be made from urethane, because it is much more durable than polyester. Nothing special!

Would this mean that it could double as a toasted-lane ball better than a polyester spare ball?
