Title: Interesting photo... (ball within a ball?)

Made me scratch my head and chuckle a bit on this when I first saw it.  It doesn't look like someone just engraved the name on the core because I've never seen one colored blue like in the photo.

I'm guessing it's a fake, or someone was messing around and poured plug material around an existing ball.   Said ball I think would be way oversized.  Hmmm...  would a dramatically oversized ball carry better?  (I doubt the ball returns could handle it though.)

looks like a ball that had a big gash filled with a clear plug and that the name is carved into the clear plug.

That looks like a crater partially filled with blue plug, then the name engraved on the blue plug and filled with white paint, then plugged the rest of the way with clear plug.  --  JohnP
