Interesting state tournament
« on: March 23, 2015, 10:23:32 AM »
Bowled great for team in the morning, scored average, couldn't hit the same arrow twice in a row in singles and doubles and the pins flew everywhere.  Gotta love house shots!  Oh well, had a fun tournament with the guys and we're all going to get a decent amount of money back, so really can't complain.

That better?

I have my own story..... several years ago, bowling on the shark pattern in a sport league I was in, I carried everything. From brooks to back door strikes - 4, 2, 1!!. I had the front 10 and only one of those X was a good shot.

On the 11th, I took my Storm natual that Itsallaboutme or his partner on tour drilled for me ;) proceeded to roll the best shot of the night. It came off my and so clean and it was headed to the spot and into the pocket......banged a 8 10 split, like WRW did vs. PA......

I didn't feel bad for what had happened, that's how the ball rolled - almost like I deserved that......but, if that had been a 300, I'd take it any day.. but I wouldn't have my picture on the wall.....

Every once and a while . . it's a purely selfish motivation though on that one . .

I know you've bowled against someone who throws the ball everywhere and carries the world and is then proud of "how they did."  Walking back and being proud of getting a strike after dumping it 4 boards right, watching it roll out, stand up and leave 6 pins on the deck is an insult to people's intelligence, or at least I think it is.  I can't fake being proud about luck, and I'd rather feel like I threw the ball well and got screwed than throw it terrible and know it was nothing but luck.  The scores were what they were, and if anything it makes up for how well I did and how poorly I scored at the Greater Ozarks last year, so I accept it, but I don't have to be happy about how I threw it.

Figjam stands for f*@# I'm good just ask me.  I wasn't good yesterday afternoon at all, and was more trying to put it into perspective.  You think about all the breaks people usually get in big games or big sets, for it to be the worst by a long shot usually explains just how much luck was involved.  Still not sure how that amounts to bragging though.

Do you let her control the remote also?

There are no points for best execution in bowling, only the score.  Worry about throwing it good when you practice.

And if you think telling everyone how bad you threw it but shot 300, my 20th, isn't a FIGJAM I got some news for you.
