Leg pain
« on: March 25, 2009, 07:59:09 AM »
When I have to start throwing the ball hard I start getting real bad thigh pain. Its right in the middle of my leg kinda on the outside. Once it starts it hurts for the rest of the year. Has anyone else had this and how did ya cure it?

I had a similar problem but the pain also radiated into my lower back. Exercising has taken away the pain.  No more leg pain or back pain.  Stretching also helps.  It doesn't disappear right away.  It took about a month of exercise and stretching before it was gone.  Lots of leg exercises and sit-ups.

I have had this exact problem for years. I found out last year that it is a pinched siatic nerve in my lower back. This can be cause by an out of place vertebra or like me my lower back muscles are far stronger than my ab muscles and therefor my posture is bad. Try doing some crunches, bicycles and side crunches once or twice a week. Since I started on that I have not had a single problem with it.
