A good step down?

Have a Dark Star drilled 4 1/4" pin to PAP, pin above. Just bought today a Backlash (Blue) and it's drilled 5 1/4" pin to PAP, pin under. Would the Backlash be a good step down from the Dark Star at appropriate surfaces?

Unless the Dark Star is stronger than I think it is, which some people seem to indicate is the case, I don't think there's too many balls that are a step down from it.  The Backlash is no exception, but it might be smoother.
