Ok guys, the small town tour is shaping up nicely.  The first event in Pinconning, MI starts next Monday and runs through next Sunday.  I think we're going to have a lot of people in this tournament, so all of you Michigan guys, book your squad now!!!

Hey there Clutch!

Thanks for your interest.  Actually, all of your questions can be answered on my site, as there really is a huge amount of information there.  If you click on the cheese on the first page, it takes you to information regarding the Pinconning tournament, format tells you the format for the handicap division, and rules will tell you the rest.

I'll answer your questions here for you.  Yes, there is a handicap and a scratch division.  You may bowl in either for $40, or both at the same time for $70.  I tried to find a way to do match play for both scratch and handicap, but it simply wouldn't work out.  If someobdy qualified for both, then we would have to do two different sets of match play at different times, and most bowling centers simply cannot give the time for that.  If we do them at the same time, then somebody who qualified for both would have to choose which one to bowl, and forfeit his/her money match in the other.  So I decided to just make scratch a 3-game set with total pinfall deciding the cashers.

Handicap is 1 in 5 from each squad will come back Sunday for match play, and there's also a Sunday squad for those who would like to do it all in one day.  Scratch is 1 in 6 from the whole tournament, although we'll probably pay better than 1 in 6.  The Monday squad unfortunately will be 3 games on one pair, as the center has suddenly told me they only have 2 pairs open.  Ugh.  The 9:30 squad will still be across 6 lanes.  I'm not pushing the Monday 7:30 squad for this reason.  Anybody interested in bowling on Monday, I'm asking to bowl at 9:30.

I hope you can make it out at least one day for the tournament.  Wednesday 7:30 and Friday 7:30 are going to be decent size squads, and of course Sunday noon should be the biggest squad.  Maybe you can bring some people up for it!!!

Hope to see you there.  Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you.

Hey Clutch.  Yeah, you can just show up and bowl.  Wed. and Fri. @ 7:30pm are probably your best bets.  I'm still working on Tuesday, and the 9:30pm squads I'm hoping to get the house bowlers to compete in those, as a lot of people won't travel that late.  So let me know what day you're looking to bowl and I can keep you informed of whether that squad will be pretty good or not.
