Iq tour vs shock
« on: January 12, 2015, 11:55:54 PM »
I wanted to get a smoother rolling ball and narrowed it down to these two but I hear the tour is really lane specific anyone able to tell me more?

IQ Tour Solid? IQ Tour Pearl? IQ Tour Fusion?

You never specified which you were inquiring about, so it'd be rather difficult to answer your question. I don't personally own any of the IQ's but the Tour Solid is known as being one of the best benchmark balls people have seen in a while.

Someone more knowledgeable maybe able to give better input. Hopefully this helps some though.

I would assume hes talking about the solid if your comparing it to the shock. Both balls are proven winners and are pretty close in the numbers department. I think it just comes down to personal taste. Cant really go wrong with either ball.

If they are pretty much the same, I think I would go with the one that saved me $30.

I've had both. Both controlled. Both great ball but I do not have IQ anymore if that tells you something. I found the shock to be more versatile and more suited to my game

IQ tour solid is anything but lane specific.  More of a benchmark ball that gives you great reads and control on tougher conditions.  About the only negatives I ever hear about it is carry on house shots when you are forced to cover a lot of boards.

I found the exact thing. On flat patterns it was money, ths I had a hard time with carry. I found the shock more versatile for my game. Controlled on flat patterns, can belly it on ths and can get deep and still carry on a broken down ths. I think it's a bit weaker that the IQ tour but not much.

^This. The Shock is a great piece. If it was me i would go bwith the venom shock all day and i liked the iq tour. The shock is more useable because of that continuation IMO unless you need more help hooking the ball.

I'm going to agree with what has been said and suggest the Shock over the tour solid. The IQ Tour Solid is an incredible ball but it really seems more suited for sport shots especially ones that are flatter.

I actually bowl with Jess Stayrook's father in our men's league and he really struggles to carry throwing his IQ solid. He's a hell of a bowler carrying a 200+ average at 70+ years of age

What does amt of hand have to do with it?
