Title: Is a lower RG better?

The ball manufacturers seem obsessed with low rg balls. Other than dry lane balls, I keep reading that "this is our lowest rg ever!"
For a bowler with hand, these balls seem to grab too early most of the time on house shots.
Where are the medium and higher rg balls?
