As a friend of Chris, I always pull for him to win.  Glad he won!!  That being said, I would've like to see him wearing those fugly pants!!!

Very surprising win I thought. Though I was cheering for barns the from the start.

I was at the live show today and barns seemed to be struggling in practice. Making ball changes left and right and even I overheard him say he needed some ideas..

Though 5 mins before the show started he made one more change for the right lane (seemed fine on the left) and went from there...

Also got a picture and autograph with him after the show.

Chris Barnes did a great job. Those who come on after he loses and say that's the last we'll see of him don't have enough heart to imagine fighting back like Chris does.

I have great respect for Barnes and his talent, so I'm glad to see him win.  I find myself cheering him on often, but having watched him for a while it's no surprise people expect him to come up short in the clutch.  Hopefully this win leads to another soon.

I'm not  a fan of barnes but i have to admit he looked good today . more layed back relaxed had he seemed happy. i notice this choke people talk about happens to him when he seems pissed and he seems to bowl stiffer because the stress seems to get to him.

You obviously still have not read my original statement from last week's thread. I clearly stated that every time he is IN A POSITION to WIN A MATCH, he chokes it away.

Today's final was a blowout in favor of Barnes, therefore, no position to win as he had the match in the 6th frame and had nothing to choke away.

Well, last week he had the front 6 and was leading by 58? and lost, so exactly when does he have it "locked up" so it can't be choked away?

Glad to see Chris win.  I agree that Chris has struggled at times on TV but got to give the guy props because he still finds a way to make it to the show.  Look at the versatility of being able to make the show on three consecutive weeks, Plastic Ball, Etonic Marathon and finally the show yesterday on the scorpion and viper.

Did an excellent job of recovering from the split in the second game and made the adjustments at the correct time.

It's just a matter of time till he *gasp *hiccup *cough *cough *CHOKES AGAIN.  Barnes has more love than Lane #1 on this site.  Everyone is so hyper-sensitive over that word.  Who cares he won today congrats, but he only delayed the inevitable.

So lets hear all the "you can't beat him or do what he does or how would you do in his situation" comments.  Let's face it there's only one person on this board that could contend with CB and that's Jeff Carter.

He's very good but he's a choke artist kinda like Sergio Garcia.  It just happens. It's OK to choke, I don't understand why everyone is so up in arms over that word.
