And I don't mean Verizon wireless. I'm a bowler, and also went to college for physics. I find myself now without a job, and I can't really think of anything I'd want to do more than be working in the bowling equipment industry. But does anyone even know how to crack into the industry? It seems like you've either been in your whole life, or you're out.

Know someone or make good contacts in the industry. Bowling for Team USA seems to be a good stepping stone. Going to Super school and inquiring about contacts doesn't hurt either. Attend Bowl expo to see whats out in the industry that interests you the most. I have tried on and off for a few years in all aspects of the industry. I am an Research and Development Engineer with much chemical background but never got a sniff or a look. I have decided that the since the game hasn't come to me its time for me to come to the game. I am currently working on a lane surface overlay which should last longer than the overlays they use now. COF is my biggest hinderance right now along with proper application equipment as we have only tried on a very small scale currently. Good luck
