Is it possible?
« on: March 20, 2006, 06:43:01 AM »
To really play inside on a long medium heavy oiled shot, if there isn't any dry to the outside? I play on a long heavy shot that has dry to the outside. That is where I try to play. Being a lefty I always run into a lot of oil, but this is ridiculous. Anybody have any thoughts. The right siders are always saying that they wish they had my shot on Saturday. I don't think they know what they are getting into. Then again maybe they think they can dry it out enough to be effective, since there is usually one lefty or two to eight or nine of them.

sound very similar to the shot laid out for me also lefty.
I have found that I have gone to slightly turning my wrist inorder to get a bit more on the ball to create a bit more in the back. I also have stepped back on the approach in order to set the ball a foot sooner on the lane.
The shot I am normally on is 41ft cristmas tree type out to the 6 board but at the end the heavy is still out to the 12 so if you get it ouside you don't get the recovery
