Hi all. I've been using a crimson sledgehammer for the past several months.
There are two main logos on the ball. The sledgehammer symbol and on the
opposite side of the ball there is the core logo. Gradually the engraving
in the logos has been falling out. The core logo is almost gone but its
nowhere near the track line. Some of the sledghammer engraving has come out
and the track line goes right over the grooves left behind.

I read that the Michael Jordon bowling ball was banned because of grooves
in the surface. Its supposed to resemble a basketball down to the colours
and grooves cut into the surface. My ball is nowhere near as bad as the
Jordon ball and where the engraving has come out the grooves are only about
a fingernail width wide but technically its the same.

I'm just curious what would happen if someone complained about it.

I thought the MJ ball was illegal because those grooves went completely around the bowling ball.
