do pearlized particle balls soak in less oil then the same ball with a solid coverstock for example the big blue solid and the big blue pearl and does a pearl coverstock usually last longer.

In general a pearlized ball will last longer than the same (solid) ball that isn't. The pearlization process makes the ball a bit harder and less porous, so it soaks up less oil.
