Everything except my Natual I have to start dead left come up the back with all the balls drilled pin over cg.After the 3 game, the Natural iscoming dead left. Did the USBC disallow any carrydown?I have a polisher and clean and polish after every set.13mph,300 revs.

13 mph is pretty low for 300 rpms. That makes you very rev dominant,
and is mostly the cause of what you're seeing, unless a house puts down more oil than average.

Most houses, especially during the summer, will try to get away with as little oil as possible, oiling as infrequently as possible. One local house will ONLY oil before a league. If there's no league for 3 days, they're not going to oil at all.

If I were you (and I was), I'd try very hard to either raise that ball speed or lower that rev rate. Otherwise you'll be using urethane or balls, like the Slingshot or the Silver Recon, for a long time.

I agree. 13 mph is too slow. Free up that arm swing and most of your issue should go away. Nothing wrong with the 300 revs, just that at 13 mph any ball is going to react extremely hard once it hits the friction.

One other thing that can help is where you stand on the approach.  If you stand farther back, you're taking larger steps which allows you to build speed through the pushaway.  It also allows you to increase the mph on the ball.  This is something that helps me when I need additional speed with dry conditions.

Example- the 1st set of dots on the approach is usually 15 ft back from the foul line, 2nd set is about 12 ft, and 3rd set is around 3 inches.  If I need to throw slower (17-19 mph for me), I will stand around 13 ft back.  If I need to throw faster speed (around 20-23 mph for me), I will be 15 ft back.

Give it a shot- it can help prevent the overreaction on the ball with the dry.

Also you can change the cover stock of your ball and make it weaker with high polish or u can use a left handed ball and it will hold as well...  You dont want to change your natural shot that much on condition or you will start getting lost...  Personally experience

No! Most house shots are conditioned to 38' to 41' and the backends are relatively dry except for a small amount of carrydown! Most centers, ours included won't or don't condition on non-league day except if they haven't been condition for several days. We use Stone Street for our house shot and for the next three weeks on Tuesday night for our Kegel league we're using Turnpike pattern! Lanes aren't suppose to be conditioned all the way to the pindecks, even though I have people that think they are!!!  Just my $.02, Bruce

Thanks for the help guys.I already take a 5 step and without any revs my ball speedd is still14.6. I gone to a Robbys to help lower rev rate, but are there any bowling muscles to work on?I averaged 217 in high school, bowled for Vincennes, had a 191 sport average and shot 1999 in nationals in knoxville,so i do know some old school things, not just this super reactive equiptment. Thanks again foe you replys

What kind of balls do you use with your arsenal?  Reason I ask is that this can also help with some ideas we can give you to try out.

From your profile your equipment is not overly aggressive.  Is your ball going long and then going hard left at the at the breakpoint and where is your breakpoint at?

sounds like it could be a nice wet/dry out there.  Do you have a lot of axis tilt?  Have you tried any other hand positions?  If so, what were the results?

Yes,a straight forward roll gives me an extra 5 ft or so,but i still seem better off using a lane 1 xxxl

Naw not to the pindecks, but enough for overreaction.I threw the 6th arrow at nationals. But week after week of watching guys with no wrist outscore me because my spares can't overcome a 4 bagger is bull****.If there are any guys on here from Jim Sullivans  day at VU speak up about his tournament patterns

13 mph is too slow for todays aggressive balls.  I am 63 years old.  Last time I checked in Reno I was 17.3 at 15 feet and about 14.5 for the length of the lane with about 280 RPM.  On most house shots I can easily use a natural playing between 5 and 8 board.  It also works on shorter, flatter patterns that have blown up.

However the problem we all run into with slower balls speeds is that we simply can't carry enough on most patterns with urethane balls.
