What do you love most about bowling?

Topic says it here peeps, lol.

What i love most about bowling, is ahh, almost everything! I love all the different types of bowling balls, and they're all kinda different so it's fun to test them out. I love playing different lane conditions, and figuring out how to play them. There's so many others, but what's everyone else's reasons?

The people that fall down when the oil gets on the approach. Or, when the house hack is having a bad night. It's whole hearted fun to make jokes at his expense.

What I love most about bowling is the people.  I have had the opportunity to travel and meet a lot of great people because of bowling.

I love learning new things such as the technology stuff, new releases, and learning to play different conditions.  I love the competition.

I would have to agree with THONG. Because of my wife being in the NAVY, we have been able to travel all over the country. Because of bowling I have made many friends and because of computers I am still able to keep in touch with them.

But when you go into a bowling center, most of the people are open to talking. And that is how friendships are made.

I love the competition that you get from bowling.  I also enjoy that it gives you a great opportunity to meet new people as well.  But the reason I like bowling the most is it gives me a chance to get out of the house and away from work.

I like the fact that an ordinary everyday person can step up for a chance to win a game, league championship, pot game, bracket, honor score, or just bragging rights. It is the only sport where a fat slob like myself can talk smack and back it up

Typically ive found that bowling with non bowlers for "fun" tends to mess up my game.  Then again, i dont think bowling is THAT fun, i bowl for the competition, & i bowl to win.  If there ever comes a time that im unable to win, be it league, or tournaments, or whatever, i would probably call it quits.  I just dont see the point in constantly doing something that you're not/no longer good at.

Growing up I played all the contact sports and non contact sports like tennis and golf which are not repetitive.

Bones, do you still view bowling as a repetative sport when the modern game has evolved to the point where you need to play straight up the gutter one game and stand infront of the ball return and swing the whole lane the next game just to be competetive?

Besides isn't golf just as repetative? You can shape your shot,the same as you can in bowling, but aren't you still taking the same swing at the same ball, you are just changing your location.

The people I meet - either at training or also in league - are the most fun and entertaining part.
I also enjoy the fact that there is ALWAYS something to learn or to try out. Analyzing the condition at hand and devising good strategy which will last some games is also one big point of fun/entertainment for me. When it works out and I play and score well, even better

Sure, I play in competition to win. But the part I really enjoy most is with my teams, when we either win or lose as a team against others. Single duels may be more thrilling, but to have a team achieve the competitive goal - and even have a good time while doing it - is hard to beat!

I enjoy bowling cause of the people i bowl with. Able to bowl with the whole family. The feeling of bowling and enjoying my self more then ever, just as long as i try my best.

I love the massive high fives our team gives each other when we pull out a game that we had no business winning.

I don't care what I shot as the anchorman.  Winning a game is better than shooting an honor score anyday, because I've done it with my friends and teammates.
