is this a bad idea
« on: January 15, 2006, 12:13:19 PM »
or a good one?I'm stuck bowling in this one house with wood lanes that are dry with really dirty back ends.only thing that will carry is something sanded and I can't even get my xxxl to hold a line.now for the idea,I have a 12 lb.storm power bolt lying around that my wife used to throw  before she switched to 14 lbs.I want to have it filled and drilled full leverage with some surface on the ball and then with the lite weight I could easily overpower the dry and hopefully have some better cary.has anyone ever tried something like this with some good results or is it a bad idea?

I'm not bad,I just bowl that way.
The harder I try the harder they fall

I wouldn't do it because doing that can lead to some bad habits, unless you are wanting to have fun. Then I bet it is a blast. lol. If they are really dry try lofting half the lane. Might sound crazy, but it can work. lol. Or try not to get any revs on the ball, ala no finger pressure. And if you cup the ball, then un-cup it. There are many more things I bet you can try, but those three are the one's I have success with on dry lanes.
