Ok...in this day and age 200 averages I suppose are a dime a dozen, or so what I am told.
I personally have not even bowled a year yet, I'll have bowled a year this September. Never bowled previous to it other than when I was maybe 4-5 years old. I am 20 now.
I currently bowl in a scratch doubles league this summer and after last night my average will be 207.X. It's a double set, first set I shot a 735 and the second 639 (Have to learn to take some hand out of the ball when the shot breaks down)...but anyhow. It's probably one of the most competitive leagues in the area...one of the bowlers in the league has a PBA Tour title to give an idea.
I guess my ultimate question here is that is it anything impressive to average what I do given the short amount of time I have bowled? In 3 months of bowling I shot a 299 in practice, then a month later a 300 in practice, then another 300 in practice at the end of May. Is bowling to easy or is it just perhaps lack of challenge in terms of the shot put down in houses? When I was in Michigan right around Memorial Day weekend, I went to a house in the Detroit area and shot a 660 in practice and I had no idea what the shot was in the house. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
