It is NOW a TRUE 3D Offset!!!
« on: November 13, 2003, 12:02:41 AM »
Had a lightly used Violet 3D Offset in the shop for sale, and someone bought it.  Had to plug it, and of course resurface it.  There was something wrong though, all the labels were still perfectly visible.  Sickened me, but now it's all good!  The resurfacing started to wear on the labels, so now it's a TRUE 3D Offset.  Never seen a 3D Offset with all the labels visible until this one, and hopefully I shall never again witness this abomination!!!

I was bowling one of the higher average scratch bowlers in league a month or so ago who bowls with average speed and maybe 5 revs from 1st arrow.  On one shot, he left a 9 pin.  Walking back, he frowned and said, "Nobody that throws a fag ball should leave that pin."

Lol, that it actually HAD labels.  We have a running joke about the 3D's, nearly all that we run across either have no labels or very faint labels.  Anything else that we either own or work on that has labels wearing off are comically dubbed 3D's.

if i remember correctly, the paint on all the 3d's aways came out of the engravings very easily. to bad, because it was a great ball design.
