I have once again had a teammate drop out of a league while owing money.
I tried to call her house, but the phone's disconnected.
She just called and said she wouldn't be bowling any more - this was last week ON LEAGUE NIGHT - after she no-showed the week before - supposedly sick.
She owes for 3 weeks arrearages, plus, if I want to get picky, we didn't get any notice, so technically she owes for 2 more weeks.
I contacted the local association, to get the exact scoop on what has to be done. His reply:
quote:
You need to have the league president call a meeting of team captains/officers and request the league send a letter (registered w/return receipt) requesting the funds within xx days. then if the money is not forwarded, another meeting is held to begin suspension request. A roster of those present, action decided by league board, registered letter receipt, copy of letter sent to bowler owing the money is then sent to my office, and I forward it to Greendale for action
What a hassle! But I know it is being enforced - a local VERY well known bowler just got suspended.
Any way - have any of you done it? Been successful in getting the money???
