Getting more and more interested in taking lessons and I have a subscription to USBCbowlingacademy.com, but I have to admit I may be out of touch with their relationship. I see a lesson schedule @ ITRC, but are the coaches from USBCbowlingacademy the same as ITRC staff? What's the relationship between the two organizations?

When I visited the USBC @Arlington my understanding was that the USBC Bowling Academy is the domestic side producing videos, providing lessons/coaching, pro shop, etc, using the on-site ITRC facility. Where players for Team USA and International teams can come and train not just bowling , but they have a extensive physical training center also available. Coaches like Ron R, Carolyn Dorin, Kim Terrell, Steve P. & others work I believe with both the domestic, as well as the International side.
The day I was there both Carolyn Dorin Ballard and Kim Terrell were available for lessons. My impression is who is scheduled to work on a day or days a person schedules lessons will be who you get. I doubt you will get Ron R. as he is primarily the Team USA head coach, but I could be wrong.
If you have the opportunity and the funds for lessons, I believe you won't be disappointed from what I viewed. Kegel in Florida is also another similar training
center for lessons on either a group or private basis. Check out their web-site.
Good Luck.

The ITRC staff also produces videos for USBC bowling Academy. They all travel quite a bit, so if you want a particular coach, it may take some coordination. When they make videos, they sometimes travel to other gold coaches around the nation. This gives video viewers access to other coaches opinions and techniques to try.
