I was using the textured tape at one time and even then it was very hard to get. A good glue on that particular tape, held well and left very little residue. The cloth tape left plenty of glue to make up for it. I have not looked for it in some time, so no help on availability.

AGB1984--
Are you sure about that web address?  I can't get it to work.  I've been a big fan of the Gator tapes for years and I stocked up on the ones I like (red label) a couple years ago because I heard that they were going out of business.  Sure enough, I haven't seen any of their products around for some time.  I have less use for them now since I started using Magic Carpets, but I'd be glad to know that Gators are still available.  The red label ones are quite slick, which is what I was after, and they come out even after a long time in without leaving residue.
