Liquid Nitro Cleaner. Your experience?
« on: March 11, 2005, 02:31:06 AM »
How many of you use Neo-tac Liquid NItro cleaner?

I picked some up at high recomendation from a friend and haven't gotten a chance to use it yet.

I figure it'll be fine on my older Legacy ball to get some of that oil/etc off, but any experience using it with something like a Real Deal?

Liquid Nitro does alright, but I still prefer Track's Clean n Dull for cleaning a bowling ball.

I like to use Liquid Nitro after bowling to keep the oil from saturating and if not after bowling, just before I bowl.  It evaporates very quickly and cleans very well with a towel.  I also prefer Track's Clean and Dull with a touch of water on a spinner.

Do it up with Brunswick.

Of course it does. You're comparing apples to oranges here, these products are used for different purposes.

Liquid Nitro is used when you simply want to clean the ball, not alter it's surface. Clean and Dull cleans the ball *and* dulls the surface. The comparable NeoTac product for this is Khameleon Particle Sand (formerly Liquid Sandpaper).

You should be using Liquid Nitro on shiny equipment and Particle Sand on dull equipment. They both work well for what they are intended for.

*OPINION MODE*
I have never seen anything that cleans as well as the Particle Sand.. .either by hand or on a spinner.

You're right on. Actually you're whole response is right on.

I've been a fan of the Khameleon (NoeTac) Particle Sand High Tech Ball Restorer since it came out last year. By hand, it not only cleans everything, but also easily removes belt marks and any other grime that's left behind.

There are several here who swear by Track Clean ’N Dull (and have for some time). I finally had a chance to try it out for the first time in the proshop last week. My driller was trying the stuff out, and he let me experiment with it to get a comparative opinion. These are my initial impressions with are by no means scientific:

1) On the spinner, the Clean ’N Dull does a good job of cleaning and removing belts and surface junk. Khameleon does the same.

2) By hand, Khameleon is simply a superior product. What Khameleon easily accomplished with a simple pass took a lot of elbow grease with Clean ’N Dull. And one product did not appear to change the cover more than the other.

I don't feel compelled to switch over.

So for my spareball the Liquid would work great and for general cleaning, and same for my real deal but for the 'deeper cleaning' on the real deal try the clean and dull?
