Team starting in the 6th week of 2nd half

Found out that a league I bowl in had picked up a team this week.  It does not appear there was a league meeting to approve of this or discuss this to see how the first 5 weeks of the second half will be handled.  Since it's not an automatic win when you bowl a blind team but pretty easy to do so, wouldn't it be in the best interest of ALL teams to have the team who starts 6 weeks into a half have to make up the first 5 weeks?  This isn't really a money league of any sorts but it just doesn't seem right that the teams that bowled against a blind team for 5 weeks and pretty much win all points vs other teams now that have to bowl against a physical team.  I wasn't there to discuss this with the league officers but I would have thought they would have called a team captains meeting before this new team started to see how this would work.  Mind you, I only heard this hear-say that there wasn't any discussion at all.   I understand that the league may be losing money if they have to pay for lineage for a blind team, but to be fair to all teams is the ultimate goal.  Anyone have any thoughts?  Any league officers out there want to chime in?  Thanks in advance.

It's just a league...in your own words it's not much of a money league, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Little known fact:  In Russian "Hope" and "Change" translate to "Tax" and "Spend"

To me to late to make up the first 5 weeks of your second half. What we have done in the past and current is let them start week 6 and the standing sheet would be determine on Percentage of wins for that half. Not Wins and Loses you yourself said it not a money league. The percentage things cause issue at first but will balance out over time. (Ex. the win all the points for the night they would be in first with 100%). But again it does balance out over time.

Okay....I had a short lunch. I read this topic too quickly. Now that I have time I will answer:


You can do this:


Rule 104d/2 -  What do we do if our league starts the season with an uneven number of teams and a team is added during the season?


USBC recommends the board meet and choose one of the following options:



Option 1: The league allows the new team to make up the games unopposed and match the scores with teams that previously bowled what was considered a nonexistent team.


 
Option 2: The league allows the new team to baowl against their averages in making up any missed games.



Option 1 is best answer to this.
