League starts Monday...last "practice" session...
« on: August 06, 2004, 05:25:32 PM »
With League starting on Monday, I practiced yesterday with the mindset of going through my "normal League-night routine"...four practice frames on each lane and then three games for score.  Practice frames showed me what I needed to see (a strike, a spare, and two big splits on each lane).  Before rolling for score, I went through my mental checklist and made my adjustments according to what I saw in the practice frames...rolled 220, 205 (with open in 9th...), 238.  If I can do that in League, I will be extremely pleased.

Anybody else do anything like this, or even something different, before League starts...or am I the only nutbag on this board???

Since I bowl in a difficult house for my fall league, I usually spend one game on the pair next to where I will be bowling as warm up. It gives me a slight indication as to what's out there on the lanes. Then during warm up I usually try to get in 4 shots on each lane- the first 3 on each lane to see what is out there for a shot, and the final one on each lane to practice my 7 pin. Then it's time to bowl for score.
