Joel Reyes...
« on: May 22, 2007, 07:19:20 AM »
I am not sure if this has been posted or not. I have been a little busy as of late and not on here much.

But I hate to post that he has passed away. Joel was a great kid! I say kid and he was only 32. He was from the San Diego, California area. A regional player and bowled a few of the PBA stops. You might of seen him from this article on the PBA website:
http://www.pba.com/news/feature.asp?ID=227

Joel will truely be missed by many! He was had a smile on his face and never would of thought twice about talking with you about anything! If you had any question for him, he would of given you his whole day to talk to about things. Joel was an extremely talented bowler!! He was actually suppose to be up at nationals here shortly with his team. Rest In Peach Joel!

Wow, that is sad to hear George, 32 is far to young to die.  My condolences to his family and friends.

It appears to something related to his brain.  Reading some of the updates on the message board indicate that he had, "lost brain functions..." not long ago.  Honestly, I do not know exactly what was the problem and I'm not trying to provide erroneous information.  In any event, a tragic loss.

From reading the PBA forums, he suffered a heart attack which lead to a stroke and eventually his brain shut down.

My condolences to his family. I met Joel when i bowled in a Hawaii TOurnament back in the Junior days. Very nice guy and laid back. You wouldn't think of anything happening like that to such a young guy. Rest in Peace brotha.

Simply put, Joel was a class act and a talented bowler.  My heart goes out to his family and friends.  We will miss him.

I crossed with Joel at a regional last year and enjoyed bowling with him.  He helped put the other bowlers on the pair at ease and took the time to discuss the experiences of a recent regional title with me.  As a rising bowling star, it is difficult to determine how far in the bowling world he would have gone.  As a person, he was already there.

God bless, Joel.
