Johnny Petraglia calls it a career on the PBA
« on: February 08, 2018, 06:49:53 PM »
Johnny Petraglia has decided to call it a career on the PBA.  Earlier tonight, the PBA posted video of his last ever shot in a PBA competition.

I'm sure we can agree that Johnny is one of the best this sport has ever seen.  Also, nobody can deny how he has been a great ambassador to the sport throughout his career.  The PBA will miss him but we'll always have the great things to look back at.

Yep a true legend whose excellent name alone sold a whole lot of bowling balls.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.

Can someone who is watching the PTQ or the Qualifying rounds of the TOC answer this question?

Is Carmen Salvino bowling in it? I know he bowled a couple of tournaments a couple of years ago (may have been the TOC, or the Masters). If so, I think that with Petraglia retiring, Carmen may be the last one of the old guard still bowling.

Yes, technically I know that Carmen retired years ago, but if he actively participated in a tournament, I wouldn't call that "retired".

Salvino received a commissioner's exemption to bowl in the Go Bowling! PBA 60th Anniversary Classic, to be held Feb. 13-18, 2018 in Indianapolis. This will make him the oldest player (age 84) to ever participate in a standard PBA Tour event.

Petraglia will still be bowling PBA Senior Tour, he's not hanging them up yet. This will be his last PBA TOC in his career.
