kid,
Remember or are you familiar with the TWO basic differences between these two balls? While they are both pearls, according to their manufacturers,
1. The Inferno is a resin, while the Reloaded is a particle.
2. The Inferno comes highly polsihed, while the Reloaded comes dull.
This makes them sort of 1 and 1 1/2 instead of a 1-2 combination. I mean they overlap somewhat, but maybe not enough, unless you're building a tournament arsenal. They'll both cover medium oil patterns while the Inferno can go down to medium-light, while the Reloaded (by virtue of being both dull and particle) can cover medium-heavy oil.
The Reloaded will be effective when there's carrydown that the Inferno may not be able to handle. When the track dries out, you may have to put the Reloaded away and use the Inferno. If you find you're using the Reloaded more, maybe you are currently (doesn't mean that won't change in the near future) encountering heavier oil and/or some carrydown that the Inferno can't handle.
Overall, on its condiiton, the Inferno will go longer and have more backend. When it sees too much oil, it will ping 10 (or 7) pins and leave washouts. The Reloaded will hook earlrier with less backend, giving more a sense of control. It will go longer on heavier oil and have more apparent backend until it gets to the point where it pings corner pins. Then you need a stronger ball. When the track dries out, the Reloaded will burn up early.
Maybe the Inferno could use a slight polishing or the Reloaded a very light sanding to help differentiate these two balls a little bit better?? At least for league play. For tournament play, you might want to leave them as is, and be aware of their differences.
