Ok, here's the situation.  I have money enough to buy a ball.....the thing is, my spare ball is a lighter than what I normally use (14 or 15), but, I need a dry lane ball.  I have a smashr for medium, and a diesel for heavy, but I have no dry lane ball.  Arsenal as follows:

Heavy:  Diesel Particle

Medium:  SmashR

Light:  nothing

Spare:  Light target Zone

Now, i wonder if i should get a heavier spare ball....but i don't really know if the light weight is affecting me, or i just need to work on aiming....but i also need a dry ball, since our house sometimes puts light oil, and my stuff burns up.  Keep in mind, I'm young, so I can't be buying stuff left and right.

Stupid topic, but I need answers.

work on mastering your spares... you can average at 190 by only making spares.

so.... get a heavier spare ball IMO.


ex. I worked on my spares all the time with my spirit 1, and could all spares consistently..... then I got my new ball (Raging Inferno) and have been left with some crazy splits..... so work on your spares.

look into the DynoThane Crisis,...mid priced ball, super for light to med oil patterns..jim......

Well, i know i could pick up a spare ball drilled for 50 or so bucks, but are there any cheap light oil balls?  I'd love to be able just to get both, but I'm kinda limited on the $$.  I've heard good about the Power Groove reactive, anyone with experience?

I'll look at the Crisis, though.

The Power Grooves are good balls for lighter patterns and they wont hurt the wallet either. If you did wanna fork over a bit more, look at the Track Dry Heat.
