I was looking at bags on buddies and started to wonder about 2 ball totes. I read a lot that people just bring 3-4 2 ball totes to tournies, instead of a rolling bag. It would be so much cheaper to buy 3 2 ball totes then to buy a 4 ball roller and one 2 ball tote. Should I just get 3 totes, and keep my 3 ball roller for league?

It's also because of the bulk.  When I was in College we weren't allowed to have rolling bags because they took up too much space in the van.  And it's easier to get through a big crowd with a couple small bags as opposed to big bags

BK,
In my opinion, carrying three or four 2-ball totes could increase your chance of hurting yourself in case of a slip in the parking lot. I don't know your weather conditions where you live but I wouldn't want to pay for a tourney, get there and then screw up my back and/or shoulder by having to carry all those totes instead of taking to time to assemble your 4-ball bag and then roll it in.

nd300, thank you for caring. Luckily I rarely see stuff like that. We havnt even had an inch of snow all winter down here in PA, so slipping is not really a worry. I think I may go with the totes instead, and save myself some money. I think 6 balls is enough for a tourney for me. Thanks for your opinions guys!

Carrying three 2 ball totes at one time is almost impossible and is a pain in the butt.. I would go with two 3 ball rollers or a 4 ball roller and a 2 ball tote. You are also going to be limited on how much extra stuff you can carry in the totes..

If they only made a ball that would carry that da_n 7 pin (and I am right handed!!)

All you have to do if you can't carry 3 is to just make 2 trips to the car. Not a big deal, it takes an extra 2 or 3 minutes out of your life doing it. I personally can carry 2 2 ball totes on my shoulders, and hold another in my hand, but i only do this during tournaments.

I look at it this way. I am 16, so Im not gonna hurt myself by carrying them. Im not stupid though, if needed I'll just make 2 trips, its really not a big deal to me. Im saving like $50+, and they take up less room then a roller. I have my 3 ball roller for league. Plus I rarely ever have much stuff in my bag, because I dont use a lot of stuff. E-Z slide, soles/heels, sand paper, scotchbrite, liquid band aid, and thats about it. So I think the totes would be a smarter choice for me. Thanks again guys! Just wanted to get some opinions on the matter. I dont know why though, Im as stubborn as a horse.
