Katana or Honey Badger
« on: January 04, 2018, 11:50:22 AM »
I have a undrilled Katana I was going to drill up but now I am thinking about selling it to get a Honey Badger. I have never thrown Radical, for those who have a Katana, how do you like it? What conditions do you throw it on? How is it drilled? I’m also curious to hear from someone who didn’t like it?  I got this ball for Xmas, I would hate to disappoint the GF but the HB is looking like it might compliment my Black Ops very well. Help convince me to keep the Katana...

My current arsenal

Scandal
Green Quantum
Rocket Ship
Fire Pearl Quantum
Black Ops
Hustle Ink
Widow Spare

I stopped considering any other responses once I read that your girl got you it for Christmas. Unless she will have no idea that you sold or traded it and never drilled it, use it lol.

I will say I honestly don't see a huge difference between the two balls.

If you want to stay with your girlfriend, drill what she gave you no matter what.

Otherwise, you KNOW I'm going to say Honey Badger.

Dude, drill the Katana.

Even if you don’t like it, bowl bad with it, and end up getting a Honey Badger, don’t knowingly sell it and buy something else instead.

Drill the Katana, you’ll be in trouble if you don’t.

Katana, unless you plan on sleeping with the Honey Badger.

 :)

But seriously, a team mate just got a Katana and it looked good off his hand.

I've seen another bowler with the Honey Badger and it looked good too on less oil, so either ball should be good for many bowlers.

Katana is stronger and can handle more oil way I understand it.  As others say just drill the Katana and if you need to, just save up for the Honey Badger.  Different enough not a waste having both.  HB is 2 piece and better on the dry.

Spoken like a true staffer.

Like most have posted drill the Katana and keep the peace.
The HB isn't going anywhere for a while, so you can always opt for it later.

This, this, this. Don't screw it up.

The Katana is a really nice ball anyways and is different than anything you had listed.

Oh the pressure.  ::) Thinking you might enjoy the Radical ball. If you're in love with this woman, don't screw it up, and drill the dam present ball, if only because she thought so much of you that she wanted to do something special for her man  :o. One way or another, let us know what is happening with the Katana.  ;)

Love my Radical pieces.  Some on here poo poo everything Brunswick in general but know what works for me.  Katana is a damn solid pearl from what I have seen.
