keeping balls out in trunk 2 long
« on: May 04, 2011, 08:14:06 AM »
i kept my bowling balls in my trunk all week and i think it had an effect on my league games sat nite because i had three low games 129, 157, 162. u think that leaving the balls in the trunk had something to do with those bad games i had sat nite?

Of course, they probably felt like you were neglecting them so they were getting you back by not knocking the pins down for you.

Actually, if the weather wasn't cold/hot and the car wasn't in direct sunlight, it didn't have an effect one way or another. Of course, if you usually leave your stuff in the trunk of your car, one has to assume you don't maintain the surface of the ball. That would have an effect over time.

It was probably just a day where you were not at your best.  However, I wouldn't leave balls in the trunk all the time.  Get too many cold/warm cycles through it and potentially a cover could crack, setting you back the price of a new ball (or balls depending how many you own).

I leave mine in the trunk year around here in Dallas area.  Meaning they go from 5 degrees in the winter to 105 in the summer including a 40 degree day to an 80 degree day this past week.  Never had any issues other than operator error on a regular basis.
