« on: May 05, 2006, 12:35:30 PM »
hey guys.. so i've been bowling about 9-10 months and decided to video myself for the first time to try to see my flaws.. heres my video link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8W8dkhGy9c

I'm throwing an Ebonite Over Time 14lb on medium oiled lanes.

Tell me if you see anything wrong..i expect to hear a lot lol.

be honest too, i just want to improve my game in any way possible.
Thanks!

p.s. by the way.. some of my problems, or what i think my problems are.. is

1. i open up on my backswing.. i try not to, but its become muscle memory instinct and i cant get away from it, im not sure why i do it.

2. i dont know how to slide -_-

3. i think my body looks funny lol

Holy backswing Batman!!!! J/K Your backswing is kinda high but you seem to be waiting for the ball nicely. Wish I could do that as well as you. I wouldn't worry about your slide...er...plant foot turning to the left at the line as many coaches recomend this as a way to get extra leverage. It looks really good to me I wouldn't worry to much about changing anything.

Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't... you're probably right.

Agreed with everyone here...everything looks sound, and as far as the lack of slide, for the type of ball you throw, no slide is actually better.  It allows your shoulders and arms to catch your body at the line and you square up nicely.  You have good balance at the line, and your finish position is beautiful.  Sometimes, the route isn't important...it's the destination.  And you hit a rather good destination.

Don't change a thing.
