Kinesio Taping for Bowlers
« on: June 09, 2016, 02:21:39 PM »
Hi.  Anyone know of any videos / web sites that specialize in demonstrating the how and why of kinesio tape application for bowlers (sliding knee, forearm of bowling hand, etc)?

I'd be interested in any taping methods that might provide a little extra stability or serve to prevent injury over time.  Thanks.

Kinesio tape doesn't really provide stability. Kinesio tape claims to help blood flow and circulation. By increasing blood flow and circulation it helps reduce inflammation and build ups in tissue.

These things can help in reduction of pain and/or fatigue. I've used kt tape on my wrist and just do a light wrap. I've seen bowlers use it on the underside of their forearm. I don't think I would use it for your knee, I would recommend a brace for your knee

If you go to the kt tape website they have a whole page dedicated to instructions of using the tape on different areas. Ive seen people use it for knees, but for bowling I'd recommend a knee brace and use the tape on your quad above the brace
