Ball experts please help!!!
« on: September 30, 2003, 11:22:25 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm in search of a solid resin that that can handle heavier mediums and carrydown. As well all know, there way too many balls out there for someone to keep track. I'm curious what you guys/ladies would suggest for this condition. Here are my specs and current arsenal:
 Right handed
Usually a stroker with slightly above average revs, but can crank when needed
 16-17mph
 High track

 Heavy Oil: Granite Gargoyle
Mediums with clean backs: Cherry Bomb
 Mediums with carrydown???????
Medium-light: Blade Pearl or El Nino Wrath

I've been trying to crank my CB through carrydown, or switching to a Tomahawk Low-Torque or Purple Ice Ex for this condition. The ice is okay, but it is very, very speed sensitive on carrydown. Please tell me what solid resins you think would work well for this particular gap in my arsenal.

Bowling is without a doubt the dumbest, most pointless, most idiotic excuse for a game that has ever been invented. So, what time are we bowling tomorrow?

I would suggest some sort of medium load particle.
Your choice...

The Charcol ex would be a good choice.
IT handles carry down pretty good for me.
I haven't tried the purple ice yet.

Id say a Columbia Hyde would do the job for a medium with carrydown.

I'll second the Charcoal Ex, since you already are familiar with some Visionary equipment, it couldn't hurt to try that one either.

The core has a pretty strong midlane roll which should cut through the soup with ease.

Maybe Monster Smash/R, Core Power LRG, Silver Streak Solid, Vendetta Solid . .  Maybe even a sanded Cranberry.

HAH!  I don't know ANYBODY now!

Being in adult leagues teaches you many things.

1.  You're not on top anymore, but there are a lot more people that suck worse than you do now.

2.  The myth about the youths having an easier shot is NOT TRUE.  I'd have an entire ring collection if it was.

3.  Drunk adults are a lot funnier than drunk youths.

I use a Blade solid. The blue/yellow one. Or a El Nino Gold.
