Seems like there is one with Michael J. Fox
and another with Tim Matherson (sp?)
I can't recall the names but I'd like to see them, I'm sure they're pretty funny.

The one with Tim Matheson is called Dreamer or
Dreamers. As a side note let us not forget
the bowling scene in Grease 2. " Let's bowl,
let's bowl, let's rock and roll ".

Its dreamer. Great movie. Im probly in the minority of teens that have seen that movie... when was it made? in the 70's? 80's? Didnt he get a white dot given to him and it was the high performance ball of the day?
good luck and high scoring

Kingpin is your favorite movie?
Interesting choice....

If horse racing is the sport of kings, then surely bowling is a very good sport as well.

Dreamer is good. Go to the ABC Hall of Fame website. They have a ton of great videos that you can rent by mail. They have a great collection of movies, short films, black and whites, and old TV shows. Check it out. Well worth the money.

Sorry fellas, but Kingpin is a turd of a movie. For me gross isn't funny, it's only gross.
As mentioned before, the Big Lebowski is a great one. I would say it's one of the best movies of the last 10 years. For those with an independent streak, check out Buffalo '66. In the movie you see Independent film maker Vincent Gallo play the fourth arrow with what looks like a Danger Zone.

Well, my favorite bowling movie is a little independent documentary called "Pin Gods". It was recommended by someone on this site a while ago - what a blast!!!
It's a documentary of three different home town gods of the lanes and their first real tour swing.
A bit dated, but everyone contemplating touring should see it. Excellent movie.

Naked bowling party? Sounds good! Where do I get that one?
-
Naked bowling party ?
Mentally picturing some of the bodies I have seen in bowling centers naked...
Uggggh

I have heard Dreamer blasted by the experts for years. But, it is my favorite bowling movie. Sure the acting may not be great and the quick success may be a bit unreal but it would be a really long movie if he did not start winning pretty quick. What I love is the basic story line. Guy dreams of being a pro and the old proshop guy, who used to bowl professionally, takes him under his wing and teaches him the tricks of the trade. The kid works at the bowl and practices constantly. The old guys dream is to own a bowling center and the two plan to buy one. The kid fights to get his PBA card after winning a regional as an amatuer. Then goes out and wins his first tour stop. What young bowler back in the 70's did not have this same dream. I know I did. Going head to head with Dick Weber and winning. No Oscars, but a fun flick to watch for a bowling junky.
