See how BowlerParadise sell their used ball !
« on: February 13, 2007, 12:12:06 PM »
I have won a used green alien from bowlersparadise.com, I was so happy although I won this by 12x USD. However, when I received the ball, I found there is a 2 inches deep scrath on the ball but this was not stated in the ebay description. I don't know why this vendor can sell ball like this ! I have sent mail via ebay to discuss for at least I want some compensation or full refund (that is the most I don't want because I still need to pay the shipping return cost). After 2 days, they still don't reply and make me sick.

I want to try the elite product so I would like to purchase a used ball first. But this incident give me a very bad impression to this company. This is my 2nd bad experience and the last one is Viper, the seller (of course I can send you more details if you want, PM me) told me the tracking was lost and he promised to send me another one but still no feedback then.

Guys, can you give me any suggestion to handle this case with bowlersparadise.com ? it is no excuse of this big vendor on bowing industry, seem it is a cheating.

Call them up and keep bothering them until something happens.

if u get a full refund, tell them to mail u a shipping label, or theyre not getting their ball back.  It is in no way your responsibility to pay to return something that they sent out KNOWING it was messed up.

Did you pay with paypal?  If so, file a claim for product not as described.  You can also ask for a certain amount back as a refund to make up for the damage.  If you do get a full refund, you will have to pay to ship back the ball.

If a buyer files a Claim asserting receipt of a Significantly Not as Described item, we will generally require the buyer to return the item to the seller at the buyer's expense and to provide proof of return delivery.

We may ask a buyer to identify the minimum refund that would be acceptable to settle the Claim. If you specify a refund amount that is less than the amount of the original transaction, and the seller agrees to refund the amount you specified, PayPal will consider the Claim to be successfully resolved.

Thanks for all your suggestion, I am going to fire a claim, too. However, just want to remind the member here that the services of this company is not good as expected.

Actually Sean, more and more places are waiting for Money Orders to clear.  My Credit Union has a statement that money orders will be treated like checks and will have to clear or money will be removed from the account.

More and more people are scamming with fake ones, that's why!!

Fake money orders are one of the worst scams going right now. The fakes look really good. Guess how I know?
Please do not be offended if in the future,all people for their own safety, treat money orders and cashiers checks the same as personal checks.
Only when my bank assures me that they have cleared will I consider them good.

This is how they reply after I fire a claim from PayPal !

==========================================================================
The ball is placed as used. This is from scratches that are already on the ball. That is why it is claimed as used. The ball is still in working order and can be thrown.
==========================================================================

is there anyone buy a "scratched" ball without notify in the description ?

for me, I never.

Well, then you just continue to do what you are doing.....make a point to tell everybody about your bad experience.  Leave them negative feedback.  Watch their auctions and send messages to people that bid on the auctions letting them know about your deal.
