Remember he did this from the TQR's no less . . but he's got the focus and confidence to be better. It's more attitude with him. He's got the attitude of a high caliber bowler, not to mention the skills. He hasn't been in town much this summer, but the impression I got from the couple times I talked to him was that the majority of the pressure is gone this year. He started getting all that attention, and hated going through the TQR's every week, and it obviously didn't rattle him, but now that he's got the experience and win under his belt, not to mention the exemption, I just see him being a lot better this year because of the feeling I got from him, and I could be wrong, but I can see him being dominant this year. It's tough to compete at a high level and do well every week for even the best and most experienced out there, but I can see him being a strong contender for bowler of the year.
quote:
I know Rhino had a great season last year (historically great, one could even argue), and I know he's a hell of a bowler, but I just don't see him doing anything spectacular this year. There's a lot of Rhino Page man-love going around since last season, but I'm not on board, I just think he's gonna have an average season, maybe a couple shows, but that's about it.
For POY, I'm gonna give a nod to another lefty, PB3. Dude's still got skills, hopefully his win in Spartanburg (against Rhino, no less) and his RTR win will give him some confidence this year. I hope it happens, and if it does, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
