I was just wondering how many of you out there use kt tape while you bowl?
I have been using this stuff for about 3 years and it is amazing. I have used it on my foot, knee, back and wrist all to help with aches and pains as well as a support better than any athletic tape.
For those of you in proshops have noticed more and more people out there using kt tape or any other sort of athletic tape in your centers I would like to hear from you. As well if anyone in a shop would be interested stocking kt tape.

Yes, I've noticed quite a few people wearing it, specifically on their wrists or elbows in place of bulky or uncomfortable braces or supports. Apparently it works well, or at the very least well enough to overcome the benefits the braces offer. I myself don't use it, and we don't sell it in our shop, but we really haven't been asked if we offered it. I wouldn't be opposed to see if we could stick a couple rolls on the shelf and see what happens. Generally speaking though, accessories like that are usually purchased in bulk online.

Thank you for the response. its good to hear more bowlers using it.
We do know that bowlers can get it at other sports stores but we are trying to get it in more shops for direct access to bowlers. I am going to send you a pm for more discussion.

My wife started using kt tape this week for her wrist and loves it.
I have used another brand for my wrist and it does help me.

Good thing that there is KT tape and the various finger/thumb tapes available now so people can actually bowl. Before the game was far too physically demanding for any sort of conventional means. Parents preferred putting their kids in football or Jai Lai as a safer alternative.

My knees are getting progressively worse and I would love to hear how KT tape works. How did you learn to apply it to make it work. Did you have to go to a physical therapist first to learn how it works?
I could really use the help on this one. My son is getting tired of his dad only being able to bowl twice a week with 3 days off in between. There are some adult junior tournaments coming up and we could have a pretty good shot at adding to the scholarship fund...

It sure seems that way with the number of injuries that I have heard of lately in the NoCal bowling community. It leads one to believe that bowling is the most dangerous sport on the planet. A friend of mine no longer bowls because he told her stop. Jogging and other forms of PT were fine, but bowling was detrimental to her health :D

I got introduced to KT tape 3 yrs ago or so at work. I worked with athletes (both coworkers and patients) who use KT tape or alike. It helped with my tennis elbow that was work related and my quads issue related to bowling. It does work sometimes, but stretching everyday helped me get rid of the use of KT tape.
I still have NIB in grey somewhere......

Im glad to hear more and more bowlers using kt tape. It does work for sure.
TripleR: I am glad you and your wife like using it. Like I said we are trying to get more and more bowlers using it instead of athletic tape and supports/braces.
xrayjay: just wondering what profession is it that you work in?

Wasn't for a good chiropractor and Kinesiology tape I would not have been able to bowl doubles and singles in Reno this year. He used it to stabilize my shoulder and combined with ice made it through without any additional pain.

Im going to have to try it out. I bowl league 3 nights a week and the third night my knee and quad start to hurt. So I'm gonna get me a roll.
