Ladies against Gentlemen
« on: September 04, 2004, 05:34:43 PM »
With the close of the Transit Lanes Classic Shootout there was some interesting discoveries. This is on wood lanes, PBA patterns (changed every few weeks), bowl 4 game qualifier across 4 pairs, skipping 4 pair. Plenty of top competition, with over 75 bowlers a week.

High Average Liz Johnson 220 plus
             Brad Angelo 212 plus
             Tom Baker 212 plus
             Jack Jurek 211 plus
             Mike Neuman 209 plus

Brian Green form here (BallReviews) participated in the Shootout, and he can testify as to the lane conditions and competition better than myself. (I only shot one week as a sub, then had a heart attack, but watched many weeks).

It is during this type of bowling where the "cream of the crop" do rise above. With superior physical games, consistency, and ability to make quick adjustmenst while reading the lanes. Other notables bowling regularly were Joe Ciccone, Fran Bax, Bruce Heim, and a couple ladies from the former regionals.

I look forward to being able to bowl next summer in this great format.
BTW, quite interesting watching Angelo and Baker on the same pairs crossing.

24 is not my age, IQ, or bowling average, but my firematic number, at least I think that what it is

Didn't know that you had a heart attack.  Hope you have a full recovery.
