I've only bowled on house shots, typically medium to medium oily, and was wanting a heads up on what to expect? How does it really affect your shot? I get to try it for the first time this week, and wonder if it's really that big of a difference, or is it is more of a case of less room for error?

I've bowled on it and found it quite opposite of a true reverse block. Expect a ton of oil up front and in the midlanes and just about the sharpest backend the last 10-15 feet that you've ever seen. Also expect the lanes to play SUPER-TIGHT. It's almost like you don't have a board to miss. There's many angles you can use to get to the pocket, like playing right up 8 with alot of forward roll seems to work for the majority of the time. For higher rev players, the deep inside shot seemed the best, but do not let the ball travel outside of 14 too early or you will see tons of washouts or the 1-2-4-8 leaves. Concentrate on getting the ball to the breakpoint and repeating shots. It's definately one of the harder(if not the hardest) PBA pattern that I've played on.
