I found it by accident when I bought a used ball that had a pinky hole drilled in it. I loved it and never went back.
Biggest advantage is stability through the swing. The ball no longer tries to fall off one side of my hand or the other.
Second advantage is it distributes the weight more evenly, which decreases the stress load on the middle and ring fingers.
Third advantage is I feel it not only helped me rev the ball up a little better, but helps me project it down the lane more easily.
It's a winning situation all around, for me.
