Title: Lane Masters Perfect and Xtreme Damage Platinum
Post by: Tommy32 on August 03, 2014, 04:39:07 PM
Question for those that may have knowledge of the two balls.  I have the Lane Masters Perfect.  As others have already pointed out, it is great for medium dry/dry lane conditions.  How does the Xtreme Damage Platinum compare to it (oil handling, length, break point, shape)?  Would owning both overlap too much?  Thanks in advance for your comments.

XDP, from what I was told, is pretty good on drier surfaces.

Any other comparisons on the two balls?

The XDP is definitely a step down from the Perfect in oil handling capability.  Where the Perfect can handle a touch more as well as some carrydown, they XDP cannot hold its own in carrydown which has been my take on it so far.  For me the XDP is more condition specific best suited for the drier conditions with no carry down and/or fresh with backend, whereas the Perfect is still usable on medium/medium-heavy for me.  The gap between the two is significant to warrant having both in my opinion.

Your mileage may vary bases on variables such as: speed, tilt, axis rotation, drilling/layout/surface prep, lane condition, etc................
