The local centre has just brought back lane records after not having them for
several years. For men its 225+ and women 200+ to qualify. If you qualify or
break a lane record down the track you'll win a bottle of port.
I think at the end of the year they'll be scrubbed and started again. I'm
just curious as to what other centres do if anything.

Explain, please - are you referring to the house posting the high score for each pair on that pair?
If so, that's a practice that's disappeared around here - and I for one miss it.
