Lane#1 Pink Panther

It is a very smooth and hard-hitting.  Most of my balls have a skid-flip reaction, while this one has more of a strong arc.  For the price, it is a pretty good ball.  Watch out if the back end of the lane is dirty or if there is carry down, because if so you will need to increase your speed to overcome those obstacles.

Wouldn't increasing speed on carry down increase skid and cause the ball to not make it back? Why not just change lines and throw it the same?

Mainzer yells!  "THIS WILL BE THE BALL OF THE YEAR!!" (And begins ducking the chairs being throwen from the other side of the room.)

Increasing speed will casue anyball to slide more, I think facts need to be checked.

On the lanes that we play on, increasing the speed will still allow enough time for it to come back.

^^ How does that make any sense at all? If the ball goes down the lane more quickly, it will have more time to hook? What?

No doubt.  When the ball is easily blowing through the breakpoint, increase speed right?  Good Lord people.........

Without seeing exactly what's going on, my best guess is that the heads are drying up, causing the ball to hook early and quit at the backend and giving the appearance of the backends getting tighter.  That situation is probably more common in today's game than the old school understanding of carry down.

Increasing speed would definitely be a solution to that problem and could explain the comments made by the original poster...

How are your lanes any different than mine? length? width? Pins all still a foot apart? Oil inside dry out for the house shot?

More specifics will allow us to understand your statement better.
