Storm Virtual Gravity Nano Question

I posted the topic below over in the BBE Forum yesterday and never received a single response. Maybe I should have told them it was a Lane 1 ball and I would have been flooded with responses ...   ...  I will gladly appreciate advice from the knowledgeable bowlers here on BR.... Anyhow, here is my question.....

 

 


I traded my Track 607A SE to my driller for his Storm Virtual Gravity Nano today. The 607A SE and myself just never did match up well. He is going to plug the thumb and fingers. I am thinking about trying it with the same lay-out he had on it for himself.

With my 15-16 mph speed and revs on the low side of medium and bowling on synthetic lanes with medium to medium heavy oil, what can I expect from this ball if I leave layout as it is which is Pin over bridge and CG kicked out 1"?

Sir, 1 would beef up that layout if you feel you are on med-heavy oil..
 
Now the Nano is WAY stronger than the 607...But IMO, that layout is more for a high rev
bowler...
 
BTW, did I tell you, Last week I plugged and re drilled a Lane One Dynamo... <<< It was once the
ball of the year,  you know...oops

Based on your past experience with such drillings and higher RG balls, I'd say 59 feet of skid and 1 foot of left turn unless you sanded it to about P500 grit. Even then, I'd wonder.
 
Have it plugged and drilled for your ball speed/rev rate ratio and the oil on which you intend to use it. That way you can use it near it stock surface (500/4000).

 IMO the nano will definitely match up WAY better on synthetics than a 607A will...without getting into specifcs  I've noticed a lot of the time its almost always the pattern, coverstock, and ball surface rather than the ball layout...

When buying used equipment I typically will go for stuff that is close to my span and a layout that happens to be close to what usually works for me...THEN I plug it and redrill my pitches thru the same holes...it makes the ball look newer too!

His layout sounds pretty good...where's the lightning bolt/mass bias at? I have a nano posted in my link if u want to know anything about mine feel free to ask
