for those who wear gloves or know about different gloves...

which do you prefer? which has the tackiest?

Because of the type of job I do, which requires a lot of hand washing with strong medical grade hand soap, I have to use lotions every day and applied multiple times a day. It's difficult to bowl with "greasy" hands......

I'm using ELITE Talon glove, and it's the tackiest I've tried so far. It really doesn't feel like I'm wearing a glove for some reason. But if there's something out there that is better, I'm all ears.

I can't give you a direct answer since I by and large don't use them.  But I do have a thought/idea, albeit a potentially pricier option.  Check out football gloves (used by wide receivers).  They are grippy as hell.  Cut off thumb and two middle fingers and voila.  Just a thought.

If I may also piggyback for a second.  Has any one used either the thumbsaver glove or a golf glove WITH the thumb?  My son is having a terrible time with his thumb.  Multiple changes have been tried but with limited result.  Ultimately his swing plane and hand position need to be fixed (working on it but his muscle memory is hard to break), and they will likey (hopefully) be the long term solution.  But I'm looking for options now.  My concern with the thumbasaver glove is that it may be too slick and could drop off his hand too easily.  Part of his current issue is playing the top of the ball.  Again, working on it.

Talon's have the same material on them as the receiver gloves at 1/3 the cost and no alterations necessary.  They are about as tacky a bowling glove as you will find.

I don't know how good they are, but bowlingball.com has one that looks to be a reasonable price even if it's just to test. Seems like it would be really tacky at least.

Thanks Mike, pretty interesting how this glove, the Talon, has the same material as receivers gloves.

I noticed softer hand at the bottom and increased turns. Combined with lotion in my hand and a urethane ball, without the glove, it can be a bit tough feeling the ball. Having a glove helps.

I'm not sure if this is coincidence, but years ago I gave the same ELITE glove to a no thumb bowler friend of mine for christmas. That second half he goes and shoot 4 o 5 300's and two 800... prior to that, 1 300. He told me it's the glove.....and his average from low 200 is now over 220 the last several years....
