Strangest leave ever
« on: May 03, 2007, 02:06:09 PM »
Bar5003 started a topic about his pick up of the 7-10 quote:

"With my trusty AMF Xtreme...after a string of 5 ten pins in a row i left a 7-10 in the hole...and then proceded to rifle it at the 10 pin bringing it back out and taking the 7 out clean in the air...unbelievable feeling!

Anyone else have 7-10 stories??"

So this prompted me to post a new topic. Probably already done before but let's do it again.

What was your strangest leave?

Personally I left the 1-2-3-4-5-6 one time in practice. I turned off the lanes and didn't bowl on them for a few days.

I personally picked the 7-10 off a full rack.  Just screwing around with a house ball.  Also saw a young kid pick up the sour apple (5-7-10) with a light ball.  Very cool...

Maybe it isn't that strange of a leave, but I left the
4-5-10 a couple wks ago and that was a first for me.

OK here we go...these are the weirdest things I have left.
: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-9.
: 1-2-3-5-6-7-8-9.
: 1-2-3-4-5-7-10.
: 3-4-6-7-9-10 countless times.
: 5-8-9
: 2-6 Yea, this was flush too. Seriously.
: 3-4-9
: I have seen a 7-8-10.
: Seen a 1-7-10
: I have picked the big four off of a greek church.
: Made the 7-10 a bunch of times...6 I think.
: 4-5-8

Thats all I can think of for now.

I've left the 2-4-6-8-10 a few times.  The strangest leave I've had from recent bowling is leaving the 6-7 split 3 times straight.  =/

Edit:  Forgot about the 4-count split I left last week.

Fact:  A 6-lb house ball will leave some downright NASTY leaves.

I've had a few...

I'm a righty......

the 2-7-8-10

the 3-4-7

I take 4 out of the middle (1-2-5-8) pretty regularly

I've gone front 10 and then 4 threw the middle and then got 1.
XXXXXXXXXX41

I've gone first 6, gutter/spare, sheet
XXXXXX-/XXXXX

I took the 7-10 off the 6-7-10 in a tourny

i have a habit of just crushing the rack and leaving 4 pins and carrying the 7.  i think this may defy physics or something.

About 3 weeks ago just before leagues got done for the year, in the women's league one of them just barely sliced the 10 pin, which then fell sideways into the 9, which fell diagonally into the 5 which then fell forward into the 1.

Left the 2-3-4-6-7-8.   Mighty weird looking at that sitting on the lane.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot--March/April timeframe, and older stroker had the front 11 working, and proceeded to leave the Lilly (5-7-10) on his fill shot!  There were a couple disappointing moans, then a period of awkward silence following that one.

Just yesterday I was goofing around throwing an Ebonite Nitro R/2 left-handed no-thumb and left the 6-7-8 split.  The 7 spun around and wobbled but did not fall... yikes.

Last week in league I had strung 8 then left TWO dead flush 7-10's. A young lady on the other team left a 1,5,7,10 in the first frame picked up everything but the ten.
