Come on, Columbia, get a little more creative
« on: November 17, 2003, 06:22:13 AM »
I'd noticed it beforehand, but our shop got the spec sheets for the Ego and Formula today, and I had to shake my head.  The cores are nearly alike, and definitely similar.  Also similar to the Wired and Messenger Traction.  After they "borrowed" the Fuze and X-Zone cores for the Throttles, and the Quantum core (with a little flip "bowl" added to the bottom) for the Wicked B/R/T, I guess this shouldn't be a surprise.  Everybody else has their new special core.  Storm has the X-Factor core, Ebonite has the TPC propellor core, Brunswick has the Inferno core, and Track has the Morpheus and Phenom cores.  Lane 1 never does much with their cores, but they're all tried and true, and their cores are almost like the ever popular Powrkoil coverstock.  The Throttle/R is pretty impressive, and so was the original Wicked (at least to see people throw, I'm not a Columbia fan), but the last big thing they tried was the Muscle coverstock on the Icon, and that didn't go over so well.  Eh, rant off.

The local grocery store has an aisle for which the overhead display of the items it contains reads:

Baby Food
Baby Care
Beer

Makes sense to me . .
